The Royal Tour is our “Grand Tour” of New York City. It is our most comprehensive one day New York City guided sightseeing tour, jam-packed with New York City’s famous sights and the more hidden and infamous as well (see Tour Sights & Routes). This NYC bus tour covers all three major areas of Manhattan in two parts, first by doing Midtown & Downtown and then continuing in the afternoon to complete your city loop by doing Midtown & Uptown.
We travel in a luxury minibus or van with oversized windows for optimum viewing and picture taking. We provide a fantastic overall orientation of this city that comes from an expertly designed route that allows you to see the most sights possible in one day without feeling rushed. You will encounter the greatest New York City landmarks, neighborhoods and fast-paced business districts this city has to offer. Hosted by licensed guides who provide fun and interesting commentary, never boring or dull, we cover it all!
During your tour we make a variety of stops for brief strolls (not mandatory) to allow you to take street level photos, stretch your legs and feel the city’s energy from the street. At each stop, your guide provides insightful commentary and is always available to answer questions.
You will leave our tour feeling as comfortable as a local, able to navigate this city with ease. With your new found knowledge you will be able to effectively plan and maximize the rest of your stay with confidence.
Another bonus, lunch is eaten at an authentic New York City deli established in 1888. Katz’s Deli was made famous in the movie When Harry Met Sally. So have what she had and book your tour today! A guaranteed highlight of your visit!

Tour Details
Our experience begins with the Midtown & Downtown tour in Times Square in the high-energy Theatre District, with an explanation of area history and a stop at Sardi’s, the Broadway “Hall of Fame.” The city begins to make sense as your knowledgeable guide introduces you to the Fashion District. We then stop and view the famous Flatiron and Empire State Buildings for great picture taking. The first neighborhood you will see is Chelsea. Then, unlike any other place in the city we will tour through the Meatpacking District which is a place where upscale galleries and boutiques are literally next door to functioning meat packing plants. Cafes and local eateries ensure round-the-clock activity in this ever changing area. This obscure haven is for anonymity-seeking celebrities, which we have personally seen during our tour such as Kevin Bacon, Samuel L. Jackson, and Julianne Moore, just to name a few.
SoHo, the birthplace of hipsters will be unique experience as you learn about its history, art and architecture. After SoHo, we venture into the Civic District, home to the NYPD, Courthouses, and of course, City Hall. After City Hall, we approach and stop at the former World Trade Center site. We pay tribute to the World Trade Center construction site from an elevated area inside the World Financial Center. We also see "11 Tears," the American Express memorial dedicated to the 11 American Express employees who perished on 9/11. During this stop you can view the site, or visit St. Paul’s Chapel. After that we will drive downtown for a look into Wall St. and of course, a picture taking opportunity at the famous bull charging up Broadway. We then stop for a spectacular view looking over the Upper New York harbor at Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. We top off our morning with views of the Brooklyn, Manhattan and Williamsburg Bridges before we stop for a well-deserved lunch break. Appropriately, we eat lunch at the king of delis Katz’s, filming location for the famous scene in the movie “When Harry met Sally.”
After lunch, we would continue with the second half of our day with the Midtown & Uptown tour to see the international world conference center of the United Nations and visit the breathtaking classic interior of Grand Central Terminal. We then continue through the commercial area of Midtown with views of Rockefeller Center, including the Today Show studio set, Radio City Music Hall, and St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Next, we proceed to the residential area of the Upper West Side, where we show you The NY Historical Society, The Museum of Natural History, The Dakota where John Lennon and Yoko Ono lived (Yoko Ono still lives here), and a stop in New York City’s backyard, Central Park. This stop includes a 10-minute stroll in a truly peaceful part of the park, far removed from city noise and congestion.
The final area we address is the ever-changing Harlem, where we’ll see the Apollo Theatre, historic brownstones, and a newly reborn 125th street. The homeward drive is down the exclusive Museum Mile area of Fifth Avenue that passes Jackie Onassis’ apartment, the Guggenheim Museum, The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Frick Collection amongst others.
At the conclusion of the tour, you’ll be dropped off at your hotel or pickup point.
